"There never is enough time in each day." For those that are taking care of loved ones with health issues, I'm sure that more than of a few of you feel that way. There is always something that needs to be done, whether for your loved one, or your job, your family, or around the house. People place their demands on you and you feel like gumby being pulled in all directions. Ultimately, even with all the chaos around you, you need to take time for yourself. I can already hear you say "How can I? Don't you know I have this, this, and this that need to be done???" I hear you. If you've ever flown though, remember what they tell us about putting on your oxygen mask? You have to put yours on first, and then help others around you.

You're no good to those around you if you don't first take care of yourself. A well has to be filled with water before a bucket can dip in it and take water out. That is what self-care is all about, making sure your well is filled so that you can take that water and give it to others who need it (like the loved one you are taking care of). There are tons of things that you can do to fulfill this, and I recommend you check out our Pinterest page for some of those ideas:

I hope you take the time today to recharge your batteries, and start taking good care of yourself. You won't regret it.
