"Success doesn't come to you, you go get it."
                                            ~Marva Collins

Success means a lot of different things to different people. For some, that means financial wealth, good health, a long and happy life, a strong business or secure job, or even having lots of kids. For others, it may mean to just get through the day without falling apart emotionally. Over my 30 years on this Earth, I've learned that most of what we "achieve" in life is through effort. We don't graduate school by not doing our homework. We don't keep our jobs if we don't show up. We don't move on from emotional hurt and tragedy if we don't work through it. Success in all forms takes effort, so just like Marva said, we have to "go get it." Today, with the holidays and New Year approaching, I want you to think about what you want to "go get" this next year. Is it to reach a career goal? Is it getting through that event that hurt you emotionally that you want to heal from? Is it some other personal improvement goal?

Why wait until January 1st to start?

This life is short, and we don't know how long it will last. Don't wait to start on your goals, start now! As they say, "Carpe Diem."
